Give Your Qurbani – Support Vulnerable Communities in The Gambia

In many parts of The Gambia, families live with limited income. Food is not always secure. Meat is a rare part of daily life.

This Eid, your Qurbani can make a real difference. It provides fresh meat. It supports families who struggle to afford basic meals.

Donation Options:

£75 for one share (1/7) of a cow or bull

£520 for a large animal (cow or bull)

Your Qurbani is carried out according to Islamic guidelines. It is distributed directly to those in need across The Gambia.

Why is Qurbani important?

Qurbani honours the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and is a vital part of Eid al-Adha. It’s more than a ritual — it’s a symbol of devotion and obedience to Allah. By giving Qurbani through Global Helping Hands, you also fulfil your duty to those facing hunger and hardship.

Our teams ensure that your Qurbani reaches forgotten communities where regular support rarely arrives. Your donation becomes a source of joy and nourishment for people living in poverty.

How does Global Helping Hands carry out the Qurbani?

We work with trusted field partners who:

Select healthy animals in advance
Carry out the sacrifice according to Islamic rules
Distribute fresh meat locally to the most deserving

We prioritise rural villages, refugee camps, and regions hit by drought, famine, or conflict. Every step is monitored for transparency and compliance with Islamic principles.

What makes our Qurbani programme different?

Global Helping Hands operates a 100% donation policy for Qurbani. That means:

Every pound you donate goes directly towards your Qurbani
No admin fees are deducted from your donation
Meat is sourced and distributed locally to cut costs and support the local economy

You can give with confidence, knowing your sacrifice reaches families in the most efficient and impactful way.

Can I give more than one Qurbani?

Yes. Many supporters choose to offer multiple Qurbanis:

On behalf of each adult in the household
For a deceased parent or relative

You can specify how many shares you want to give and include any dedication at checkout. Our team will ensure each Qurbani is handled separately and delivered with care.
