How Much Is Fidyah UK 2026?

The Fidyah amount in the UK for 2026 is £5 per missed fast. This amount feeds one poor person for one day. Fidyah applies only when a person cannot fast in Ramadan due to permanent inability, such as old age or chronic illness, and cannot make up the fasts later.

The calculation is straightforward.
Count the number of fasts you missed.
Multiply that number by £5.
The result is your total Fidyah.

If you missed the entire month of Ramadan, multiply £5 by the total number of days in the month. If you missed only certain days, count only those days. Payment should be made as soon as possible, ideally during Ramadan, so food reaches people when need is highest.

Fidyah does not apply to temporary illness. If you were sick but expect to recover, you must make up the missed fasts later. Paying Fidyah in that case is incorrect. Accuracy matters to ensure your obligation is fulfilled properly.

Fidyah must be used only for feeding the poor and needy. Meals. Staple food provision. Nothing else. Correct use is essential for validity.

Global Helping Hands enables UK donors to pay Fidyah correctly and with confidence. The charity applies a 100 percent donation policy. Public Fidyah funds go directly to feeding eligible recipients. Admin and operational costs are funded separately. This protects intent and compliance.

Online payment simplifies the process. You calculate your total in minutes. You donate securely. You receive instant confirmation for your records. This is especially helpful during Ramadan when obligations overlap and time is limited. Digital payments also support faster food distribution.

Fidyah is different from Kaffarah. Kaffarah applies when a fast is deliberately broken without a valid reason and carries a much heavier obligation. Fidyah applies only when fasting is not possible at all.

Each £5 provides a meal for someone in need. Each payment fulfils a duty left incomplete due to hardship. The impact is direct and immediate.

If you qualify, do not delay. Count the days missed. Multiply by £5. Pay your Fidyah and ensure your obligation is fulfilled.
