The rural communities of Uganda face significant challenges, but now we have the chance to provide them with a place of peace and worship. This masjid will become a central part of daily life, accommodating up to 250 worshippers. In addition to being a space for daily prayers, it will also offer Quran classes, providing essential religious education for both children and adults.

By contributing to the construction of this masjid, you are not only helping to build a house of worship, but you are also creating a community hub for spiritual growth, unity, and learning.

The planned mosque will be 25 feet by 30 feet, offering ample space for prayer and community gatherings. It can accommodate 150-250 people, including the use of outdoor facilities.

After completion, a member of the local community will be allocated to manage the mosque. It will serve as a place for prayer, Jummah gatherings, religious education, and community events. Our team conducts regular checks, and if any maintenance is required, General funds may be used to support repairs.

Our dedicated construction team has completed dozens of projects in Uganda, ensuring a fast and efficient process. The mosque is usually built within 3 to 4 months, but during peak periods like Ramadan, it may take up to 6 months.

A full mosque donation covers:

  • Internal finishes
  • External finishes
  • Windows and doors
  • Painting
  • Carpets
  • Toilet/ Wudu facilities

Yes, if you donate for a full mosque, a permanent plaque with your name will be placed near the main entrance of the mosque.

If you contribute towards the mosque but do not fund the full cost, once the required amount is reached through multiple small donations, the mosque will be named Fael Khair, meaning “Person of Good.” A video of the completed mosque will be shared on our social media platforms and YouTube channel.

How Your Donation Helps:

£1700: Contribute to the foundation of the masjid.
£2,550: Fund half of the masjid’s construction.
£5,100: Fully sponsor the building of the entire masjid.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring this vital project closer to completion. Your support will leave a lasting legacy for Uganda, providing a sanctuary for prayer, learning, and community togetherness.

Is building a masjid considered Sadaqah Jariyah?

Yes, building a masjid is considered Sadaqah Jariyah because it provides ongoing benefits to the community. Every prayer, Quran class, and act of worship performed within the masjid continues to bring rewards to the donor, even after they have passed away. This lasting impact makes it one of the most rewarding forms of charity in Islam.

Sadaqah Jariyah, often referred to as "continuous charity," is an act of giving that provides ongoing benefits to others and rewards to the donor. Unlike regular Sadaqah, which is a one-time act of charity, Sadaqah Jariyah continues to benefit others and generates spiritual rewards for the giver for as long as the charity continues to be of service.
