About this appeal
The rural communities of Uganda face significant challenges, but now we have the chance to provide them with a place of peace and worship. This masjid will become a central part of daily life, accommodating up to 100+ worshippers. In addition to being a space for daily prayers, it will also offer Quran classes, providing essential religious education for both children and adults.

Questions
What are the approximate dimensions of the mosque?
The planned mosque will be 25 feet by 30 feet, offering ample space for prayer and community gatherings. It can accommodate 100+ people, including the use of outdoor facilities.
Who will manage the mosque after it is built?
After completion, a member of the local community will be allocated to manage the mosque. It will serve as a place for prayer, Jummah gatherings, religious education, and community events. Our team conducts regular checks, and if any maintenance is required, General funds may be used to support repairs.
How long does it take to build the mosque?
Our dedicated construction team has completed dozens of projects in Uganda, ensuring a fast and efficient process. The masjid will be completed within 6 months of your donation.
What is included when I donate for a full mosque?
A full mosque donation covers:
- Internal finishes
- External finishes
- Windows and doors
- Painting
- Carpets
- Toilet/ Wudu facilities
Will my name be displayed on a plaque in the mosque?
Yes, if you donate for a full mosque, a permanent plaque with your name will be placed near the main entrance of the mosque.
If you contribute towards the mosque but do not fund the full cost, once the required amount is reached through multiple small donations, the mosque will be named Fael Khair, meaning "Person of Good." A video of the completed mosque will be shared on our social media platforms and YouTube channel.
How will my donation be used for the masjid project?
Your donation will directly fund the construction and development of the masjid, which will serve as a space for daily prayers, Quran classes, and community activities. Each donation helps bring this vital project to life and strengthens the community it serves.
Will I receive updates on the progress of the masjid?
Donors who contribute the full amount needed to build the masjid will receive personalised video updates, with the masjid completed within 6 months of your donation and a final report once it is finished. While smaller donations are appreciated, they do not include personalised updates.
Can I dedicate my donation in someone's name?
Yes, but only donors who fully fund the entire masjid can have a name or multiple names engraved on a plaque within the masjid. This is a special way to commemorate your generous contribution to this important cause.
Is there a minimum amount I need to donate?
There is no minimum donation, and every contribution makes a difference. However, only those who donate the full amount required to fund the masjid will receive personalised updates and the opportunity to add a name to the masjid plaque.
What happens with my small contribution?
Small donations help us reach the full amount needed to build a masjid. Once reached, Global Helping Hands will build the masjid under the name "Fael Khair," symbolising contributions from many donors like you.
