Olive Trees
With the assistance of locals, we are planting thousands of trees and distributing fast-growing seeds. Long-term, this will support the restoration of environmental balances and guarantee that the soil is fertile for crop growth.
Funding futures and transforming lives
Olive trees are the main source of livelihood for over a million Palestinians, helping to sustain generations to come. The trees are planted twice a year and take between 3-5 years to start bearing fruit.
By the fig and the olive and [by] Mount Sinai, And [by] this city of security [Makkah]. Verily, We have certainly created man in the best of stature. (Quran 95:1-4)
Each farm family we help will get 25–50 trees, which will help them make a living by growing and selling olives. An olive tree that is about 15 to 20 years old produces about 15 to 20 kilogrammes of olives each year.
Help us reach our goal of planting 5,000 olive trees in the next few months. This Sadaqah Jariyah will help around 1200 farmers have safe and stable ways to make a living.
Your tree will go wherever it is most needed, but one of the most important places we plant olive trees is in Palestine. There, we help farmers who are struggling to keep their land and jobs by planting olive trees.
It’s no wonder the Messenger (PBUH) labelled olive trees as blessed; they produce beautiful and nourishing fruits, and they’re mentioned seven times in the Quran.
Helping people to work their own way out of poverty
There are many individuals in the world who do not have access to the necessities of life that we take for granted. Many grow up in the cycle of poverty without access to possibilities for employment, education, or healthcare makes it difficult to provide for your family. Giving your children the education you never had is challenging.

We favour giving individuals the tools they need to assist themselves. We try to provide individuals with access to sustainable means of sustaining themselves and their communities because, motivated by our religion, we believe that all people have a right to the provisions that God has given to them.
Our livelihood programmes are tailored to the particular requirements of the communities we work with and range from giving young people vocational training to giving farming families access to crops and equipment to enable them to sustain their lives and develop.
Our livelihood programmes provide people with the training and the means to sustainably lifting themselves out of poverty. Not only this, but in some regions we also provide direct opportunities of employment. With your help, we can ensure more people are able to work themselves out of poverty and reduce their dependence on charity.
The Prophet, on him be peace, famously said: “When a human being dies, all one's deeds cease, save three: a Sadaqah Jariyah, [religious] knowledge [one leaves behind] from which others benefit, and a righteous child who prays for one”
Livelihoods Fund
We manage a variety of livelihood programmes that provide communities all across the globe more opportunities. By making a monthly donation to our Livelihoods Fund, you may be helping someone pursue a career, giving farming communities access to agricultural equipment, or giving a family an animal to feed and nurture on a regular basis.
Whatever amount you decide to donate, you can be confident that our local volunteers will make sure that it will enable underserved communities to become self-sufficient.
