Lamin is growing up in a family that has experienced the loss of a parent and now faces ongoing financial challenges. Lamin lives with his mother, Tida, in a rental house. Tida sells bread to support them, waking early each morning to prepare for her customers. Her small income is used to pay rent, buy food, and cover their basic needs. Unfortunately, the little she earns from selling bread is not enough to properly sustain them.
