Aisha is growing up in a family that has experienced the loss of a parent and now faces ongoing financial challenges. Aisha lives with her mother and siblings in a rental house. Her mother works tirelessly as a domestic helper in nearby houses, washing clothes and scrubbing floors for little payment. Yet no matter how hard she works, the money never seems to stretch far enough to meet their needs. The bond between mother and daughter grows stronger through their struggles, and they cling to each other, praying that one day things will improve.
